Happy 60th Anniversary, PSL!
PSL's 60th anniversary celebration, which took place Homecoming weekend, was a huge success! Many PSL employees, as well as alumni, were present for the festivities, which included PSL's first annual Scholarship Breakfast, an Alumni Reunion Dinner, and the annual Homecoming Picnic.
Approximately 20 people participated in the Scholarship Breakfast, which generated sufficient donations to reach the $10,000 necessary to establish the Jerry B. & Dathylene Cooper Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund! Three scholarship recipients attended the breakfast-Desiree Stephens, Veronica Colorbio, and Sonya Carrillo-who had been awarded the PSL EA Endowed Scholarship, the Martha Durrenberger Memorial Endowed Scholarship, and the Lois I. & Leonard R. Sugerman Endowed Scholarship, respectively.
PSL hosted the Alumni Reunion dinner in its new conference room, where approximately 60 people renewed acquaintances and shared memories. PSL's traditional Homecoming Picnic was held on the front lawn of Anderson Hall and attended by 300 people. Entertainment was provided by NMSU's Pride Marching Band and Cheerleading Squad, and there were special 60th anniversary demonstration booths and games for the kids, including Willis Fedio's "Fight Bacteria" demonstration in the PSL lobby.
The PSL Development Committee would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this special anniversary celebration such a memorable one!
