Quality Assurance
PSL has extensive experience with quality control processes used by the U.S. Navy. The U.S. Navy at Desert Ship has initiated quality control processes to ensure that technically complex hardware and software meet rigorous standards. This includes procedures and processes for
- System Change Notices (SCNs), which are formulated as set forth in the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Firing Coordination Team Procedure for Submitting system Change Notices dated 3 June 1996
- Engineering Packages, which are extremely complex SCNs, in which multiple system drawings and other documentation are affected
- Program Change Notics, which are developed for software program changes
- Program Design Specification Changes, which are initiated for extensive changes to large, complex software programs
In addition, PSL has in-house approved processes for PSL engineering and support programs. These standards and processes provide a flexible framework within which specific processes can be tailored to meet specific contract requirements.
