PSL MV PCM Encoder System

PSL MV Encoder

The MV PCM Encoder family of components provides a flexible, modular system, allows rapid assembly and programming to create customized, flight-ready PCM instrumentation systems for your specific application. Features of the MV include IRIG 106 compliant PCM output formats up to 20 Mbit/second, low power consumption, a variety of input types, and additional special purpose modules, in a 2"x3" footprint. Additional capabilities can be developed as required.

PCM Telemetry Decommutator Systems

PSL's field-proven PCM Decommutation systems have been developed and refined by operational support specialists to meet the needs of real-world testing environments. Hardware is PC-compatible; PCI-based boards and associated hardware are designed to run under Windows NT/2000/XP operating systems. Operational setup and real-time display software is included with these systems. Driver development and other assistance are available as required to meet the requirements of your application.

Flight Instrumentation System Components

PSL PC Systems

NMSU/PSL is known for innovative development and application of flight instrumentation systems. The WFF93 and MV PCM Encoder Systems have provided flexible, modular, economical flight-capable instrumentation platforms. PSL engineers have applied invaluable lessons learned in support of test and launch operations to develop reliable, flexible, and inexpensive power system and other critical components for high performance flight instrumentation and avionic systems.

PSL WFF93 PCM Encoder System

PSL's WFF93 family of PCM encoder components have performed flawlessly on hundreds of high-performance rocket, high-altitude balloon, aircraft, and other flight tests. This flexible, modular system allows rapid assembly and programming of WFF93 components to create a customized, flight-ready PCM instrumentation system for your application. Features of the WFF93 include IRIG 106 compliant PCM output formats up to 10 Mbit/second, low power consumption, a wide variety of input modules, and many special purpose modules in a 3"x4" footprint. Additional capabilities can be developed as required.

Antennas and Electromagnetic Systems

Antennas

Electromagnetic Systems (EMS), a component of PSL, is responsible for the continued development and testing of antenna solutions for a variety of uses, including ground, mobile, airborne, and space flight. We manufacture off-the-shelf antennas as well as custom designs for rockets, missiles, projectiles, satellites, fixed and mobile communications systems, electronic warfare systems, surveillance, tracking, and location aids (GPS for example). EMS offers extensive experience in antenna development, design, and testing. We have consulted to government and industry for many years on electromagnetic-related problems, including EMC/EMI investigations.
