The first UAS Flight Test Center was created between the FAA and NMSU in 2008. This site was added to the six congressionally directed sites that were later selected in 2013.

NMSU UAS Flight Test Center conducts eBee airworthiness assessment

The SenseFly eBee unmanned aircraft system recently completed an airworthiness assessment, an Federal Aviation Administration-accepted public aircraft process, at the New Mexico State University Physical Science Laboratory’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems Flight Test Center. 

Directions to NMSU

From the North (Albuquerque):  Take Interstate 25 South to University Avenue, Exit 1.  Continue heading right on the exit ramp.  Proceed west on University Avenue.  Turn left on Espina Street, left on Stewart Street, right on Sweet Ave, and a right into a gated parking lot.  The gate has a key code for exiting only, which must be obtained at the main desk located in the lobby.
