Student Opportunities
NMSU's Student Employment Service (SES) Ventana, is an on-line employment system for NMSU students. At SES, our objectives are to assist students in obtaining career related jobs that will help defray the cost of a college education; provide equal opportunity for all students seeking employment; assist employers in finding qualified employees; and serve as a resource for students and employers in any and all matters related to student employment. Our hope is that Ventana will indeed serve as a window to the world of work and that you will find the search for a job or employees to be a pleasant experience.
Co-op & Internship Opportunities
Opportunities offered through the Cooperative Education Program are generally reserved for New Mexico State University students. Eligibility requirements specifically for cooperative education assignments are as follows:
- Full-time Student (12+ credits for Undergraduates, 9+ credits for Graduate Students
- Degree Seeking (Major Declared)
- Freshman through Graduate Levels (NOTE: Students must not be graduating at the end of the semester of application)
- 2.0+ GPA (Undergraduate) 3.0+ GPA(Graduate Students)
You must develop a Quick Registration profile on the Placement and Career Services database system called MonsterTrak Accessing your record after the initial creation of your Quick Registration will require you to use the username and password you developed. At this time, you are encouraged to upload your resume and add your address to your record. This process must be completed before requesting a Resume Drop or scheduling interviews for any opportunities.
